Too much effort for such a simple life
The life is too hard unless you were born into a priviliged environment. You have to work your ass off to have a simple life. A simple house, a simple car, some hobbies, healthy food and traveling. They should be basic stuff but are luxury in today’s era.
When I was around 14 years old, I was already aware of how cruel the current economic system was and I was thinking to end my life because of this reality. Because I knew that it was a system where labor was not rewarded fairly.
Now I’m almost 30 years old and I do not think I will have a retirement. I already gave up on that thought. So I constantly find myself thinking what I can do to secure my future.
Honestly, I still could not find a proper way to secure the future. I do not earn enough to make investments. I can try hard and save money but then I would have a very restricted life everyday. What’s the point in investing like that if I do not even know whether I will live a month later?
Let’s say I can work until 70 years old. I have like 40 years ahead of me. Since I’m not able to increase my income and do investments right now, I think it is better to invest in myself directly which are:
- Doing exercises
- Eating healthy
- Reading
- Always learning new stuff and improving
I believe these are absolute investments one can do without any loss risk. But at some point, I would like to try launch my own business somehow to step up. I am gonna try to build a solid foundation within me and create flexible self for many possibilities in the life.
