My first year on a job in Japan

It is my fourth time coming to Japan. Previous ones were as a student but this one is for working.

Student life and working life is definitely different. Some prefer school and some prefer work. At this point, I can say I’m quite happy with my current life. It is not perfect. An entry level salary, nothing luxury. But I also have lots of chances to go business trip which I can’t say I don’t like. I already did business trips to Taiwan and Turkey and will be going to my third overseas business trip next month to Bulgaria!

I live in a peaceful environment in the countryside. There is nothing toxic in the workplace. Everyone is kind to me and there is rarely overwork. It is not only in the workplace that people are kind to me but also generally the people in the district I live in. It is a small place and there aren’t many foreigners here. So when the locals see foregienrs, they are mostly kind and friendly. I love this kindness. Kindness really makes life cheerful and enjoyable.

Finally in my life, I’m at a point that I can slow down, do long term plans, build a nice living space and grow plants!

Japan is not perfect. It is not a dream land. But it is definitely peaceful. You just need to let yourself into the flow.
