About the happiness of receiving e-mails on a content-first blog
I did not start my blog to interact actively with people. My purposes were to build a self-discipline, improve my English and keep a record of my thoughts.
As I wrote more I started receiving messages from all over the world. Messages about my posts, some questions, sometimes just to know me etc.
Yet, I become happy regardless of the content of the e-mails.
Why? Because it basically means the following:
- A random person at a random place in this world found my blog somehow.
- He/she read my post and found some connection with herself/himself.
- He/she spent the precious time for reading and thinking/processing about it, and decided to send an e-mail to make a contact.
This whole process is really precious and valuable.
What’s more is that this blog is heavily text based and content first. Which means the reader is already no ordinary person. He/she already is cautious with what kind of content he/she is consuming:)
